City of Maxeys Permit Fees
City of Maxeys Permitting Fee Schedule
Where possible, fees are structured as “flat fees” based on historical data for permits issuance using square footage and unit-based fees. The impetus for this revised schedule is not to increase fee revenue, but to continue to cover costs incurred while making fee calculations easier for the customer to understand and staff to administer. It is not anticipated that fee revenue will increase or decrease significantly as a result of these changes.
Residential
New Construction of Single-Family Home
Certificate of Occupancy - $20
Up to 2500 square feet, on crawl space - $35
Up to 2500 square feet, on slab - $40
Up to 2500 square feet, on basement - $50
Additional square footage above 2500 - $25 per 500 sf
Addition or Accessory Structure
Up to 499 square feet - $20
More than 500 square feet - $25
Renovation or Remodel - $20
Pool - $20
Trade Permits - Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing - $20
Agricultural
Non-Intensive (Barns, Pole Barns, Sheds, Shops) - $20
Commercial
New Construction, Addition or Accessory Structure
Plans Review Fee - $25
Up to 2499 square feet - $35
2500-4999 square feet - $45
+Over 5000 square feet - $55 + $0.10/square foot
Trade Permits - Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing - $20 each
Temporary Construction Office - $20
Fire Suppression System - ($5) + ($.50) per sprinkler head
General
Driveway Permit - $10
Sign Permit - $10
Demolition Permit - No Charge
Fence over 6’ or Retaining Wall over 4’ - $10
Temporary Event Permit - $25
Special Event - Beer & Wine Sales - $25
Planning
Rezone or Conditional Use Request
Comprehensive Site Plan Required - $50
No Comprehensive Site Plan Required - $35
Variance - $75 per variance
Zoning Verification Letter - $15
Minor Subdivision - $25 per new lot created
Combination or Recombination Plat - $20
Major Subdivision
Preliminary Plat - $100 plus $2.00 for each lot over 5 lots
