The Maxeys Cat-itude Adjustment Initiative is a community effort focused on safely reducing our community (once known as feral) cat overpopulation through Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return (TNVR) practices in partnership with local volunteers and the Humane Society
Carrie Hayes and Cynzia Sanchez are working together with the Lake Oconee Humane Society to help address the growing community cat population in Maxeys. Through the humane Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return (TNVR) efforts, over 22 cats have already been safely trapped, spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and returned to their original areas.
This initiative helps:
Humane Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return (TNVR)
This proven approach helps stabilize cat population while allowing community cats to remain in familiar environments.

Being trapped can be scary for our little friends and the best way to keep them calm is to cover the trap once they're inside.
The Humane Society is always seeking handmade trap covers so if you sew and would like the pattern, please let us know.
We're looking for volunteers to help with the yard sale:
Set up and break down, assisting during the sale, managing the bake sale.
